Overview

Demon Gods is a text-based visual novel for players who want a story-driven smut game with real lore behind it. The tone mixes humor and tragedy rather than playing everything for laughs.

Story

The protagonist dies and is reincarnated into another world, only to find themselves turned into a Succubus against their will. The game follows their struggle to adapt to a body and instincts they didn't ask for, caught between who they were and what they're now becoming.

Gameplay

Play centers on reading through branching narrative choices as you shape how your character responds to their new demonic nature, with turn-based combat encounters mixed in alongside the story scenes. Choices affect how the character copes with their transformation and the desires that come with it, while the world's religious and monstrous elements shape the encounters along the way.

Updates:

Finished the second part of the chapter 6 Deadwoods dungeon.
This section is much larger than a single bullet point makes it sound. There are multiple new scenes, events, encounters, route variations, character interactions, and progression checks throughout the dungeon.
Elyria's recruitment requirements for the Silent City have been loosened. You still need all of her journals, but telling her you're human no longer locks her out of joining. It still reduces her relationship by 5 points.
The previous preview scene is no longer a preview and has been fully added to the game.
Updated the previous preview scene with a couple extra images and some mildly updated dialogue.
Updated some minor details in older scenes to better support current lore.

Added the images that were already included in the previous preview.
Added 40 new images overall. I may have forgotten to count a few because organizational skills are for people better than me.
At least 8 of the new images are lewd.
Added a couple extra images to the former preview scene.

Fixed or Updated:

Typos.
Typos. The eternal enemy.
More typos, because apparently I write with boxing gloves on.
Rewrote the Silent City introduction scene.
Rewrote Elyria's introduction scenes for the Silent City.
Files found in chapter 5 always stated Circe killed a certain individual. This has been fixed for cases where the protagonist was the one to kill them.
In what seems to be a rare situation, some players could get stuck and unable to continue shortly after reaching chapter 5.
I've identified the likely cause of the chapter 5 progression issue and implemented a more robust fix.
The chapter 5 fix should also recover existing affected saves automatically the next time you load.
So far in testing I haven't been able to identify any issues this fix might cause, but please reach out if you run into anything broken at the start of chapter 5.
