Overview
Refuge of Embers is a 2D animated dating sim for players who enjoy fantasy harem stories with a slow-building sense of place. The tone stays warm and character-focused rather than dark or heavy.
Story
Harth grows up in a quiet frontier village far from the centers of power, living a settled life alongside his friends. When events beyond his control upend that stability, he and his companions are pulled toward Pyre, the capital city, where everything they've known is tested by a much larger and stranger world.
Gameplay
Play follows Harth through conversations, choices, and everyday scenes as he adjusts to life in Pyre, with dialogue decisions shaping how his relationships with the people around him develop. Exploration between story beats reveals new characters and locations, and choices made along the way branch toward different endings.
