Overview
Some Heroines Climb Up a Tower to Ask God Why the Game Has a Name That's So Long is a turn-based rogue-like RPG for players who want strategy and adult content combined without much seriousness. The tone is comedic and a little absurd, poking fun at its own premise.
Story
Annoyed that her game has such an unwieldy title, the Heroine abandons a generic RPG quest to climb God's tower and demand an explanation. Reaching the top means crossing the Holy Lands first, a region so full of lustful demons that visitors are asked to sign a consent waiver before entering.
Gameplay
Each run has the party moving through randomized road maps, choosing which landmarks to visit before reaching the next zone, from shops to mini-boss fights. Battles are won by managing enemy positions, pushing or pulling foes in and out of their effective range while drawing from a pool of randomized skills for healing, repositioning, and area attacks. If a heroine's stamina drops to zero mid-fight, she's captured rather than defeated, and can be recovered later from a slaver camp, usually in a different outfit than she left in. Losing your entire party's stamina ends the run, so skill purchases and hub upgrades between attempts matter as much as combat choices.
Features
- Positional combat where enemy effectiveness depends on range, rewarding careful pushing and pulling over brute force
- A capture-and-recovery system tied directly to party stamina and battle outcomes
- Unlockable hub shops that expand skill and item pools for future runs
- Skill and item curation tools that let players shape what appears in a given run
