Overview

Trials in Tainted Space is a text-based sci-fi adventure for players who want deep character customization and open-ended exploration. It keeps a light, playful tone throughout.

Gameplay

Players build a protagonist from a wide range of body types and backgrounds, then set out across the galaxy in a sandbox structure with no fixed path. Exploration leads to turn-based combat, puzzles, and encounters with the many species and characters who populate each world. Because everything runs through text, scenes and outcomes shift easily based on player choices.

You can now ask Azra to remove the tentacle installation from your ship, if tentacles aren’t your thing. The option is available in the tentacle room’s submenu. This is a permanent change that cannot be reversed. (Written & coded by Fenoxo.)
Quadomme & Kane fixes: melee/ranged counter systems were not playing nicely with frequent stuns, resulting in NPCs interrupting attacks even while completely immobilized! It should now be more possible to lock them down with crowd control of your own! (Fenoxo)
